Game Samples

"Maze" game

In this project, children help a frog in a maze to find its way to catch a fly. They need to program the frog to move on a specific path in order to get to its destination. Through this lesson, children understand the concepts of programming, instructions and sequencing, become familiar with the application they are using, and learn how to put blocks together to command a character to move in a specific direction.

Game Development for Kids, List of extracurricular activities for kids

Dance Competition

In this project, children design the dance steps of some characters to take part in a dance competition. To the beat of music of their choice, children need to combine different motions, repeat some moves and use their creativity to make the characters perform impressive choreography.

Hide and seek

“Hide and seek” has always been a popular game that kids around the world love to play. In this project, supercoders will have the chance to challenge their classmates to find the characters they hide and programed to appear when found by the controlled moving cartoon character.

Feed the Aliens

“Eat an apple a day keeps the doctor way”, children will put this adage to the test on aliens. Children learn in this project how to draw a canon and program it to launch apples in the space on tap aiming at the moving aliens. Aliens when touched by an apple will eat it. Children notice that aliens like apples and will never be fed up.

Race game

To create a racing game children have to program many characters to move at different speed at the same time. In this project youngsters learn how to use the speed block to program a cars race and use their creativity and knew knowledge to create an animals race.

Obstacle Course

In this project, children program a cartoon character who walks forwards and has to jump over obstacles that suddenly appear in his way and which could prevent him from getting to his destination. Children learn in this project that a character can be programmed to perform multiple tasks at the same time.

Hide and Seek

Feed the Aliens

Children will put the adage “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”, to the test on aliens. Children learn in this project how to draw a cannon and program it to launch apples into space, aiming at the moving aliens. The aliens will eat the apples when they touch them. Children will notice that the aliens like apples and can never become full.

"Race" game

To create a racing game, children have to program many characters to move at different speeds at the same time. In this project children learn how to use the speed block to program a car race and use their creativity and new knowledge to create an animal race.

"Picking" game

This game needs a lot of concentration and quick reflexes to pick the apples before they disappear. Apples appear randomly and repeatedly everywhere and when tapped on they display a “well done” message.

Treasure Hunt

Finding hidden objects is always exciting. In this project, children are invited to tidy up a bedroom and find the apples hidden under the toys and furniture. Children learn how to resize and reposition the apples in order to hide them.

Avoid the Bats

In this game, children program a chicken which is perpetually moving forward to take some steps backward when tapped on, in order to avoid being caught by a flying bat. Children are able to change the speed settings to make the game more challenging.

Chase and Catch

This game is very entertaining. Children program a shark to move at a certain speed towards a location only when they are touching the screen. The children can control the shark to chase and catch the moving seahorses. The whole scenario happens underwater where coders can change the characters’ settings to make the shark’s task harder.

Angry Ghost

Children program an angry ghost to be propelled in the direction of a touched location on the screen. Children use the concept of velocity physics to make objects fall when hit by the ghost.

Avoid the Comets

An amazing game in which children control a spaceship to propel into space without getting hit by a comet.

Pong Starter

This is a very challenging game which consists of controlling a paddle to prevent a bouncing ball from touching the red line. In this project, coders learn the concepts of variables and functions and how to add a point to the score each time the ball is bounced back successfully.
