Super Designers - Abo Art Workshop


Learn about Aboriginal symbols, Dreamtime stories, and culture, then design, code, draw, and colour related artworks using programmable robots!

 

Overview

In the first part of this workshop, the children learn about the different symbols used by the Australian Aboriginal people to tell their Dreamtime stories and preserve their culture.

In the second part, each child chooses a related theme artwork to do.

To create and complete artworks, the children:

  1. Draw sketches and plan designs.
  2. Use iPads, a coding app, and real robots to practice drawing on whiteboards first and then to draw final patterns and shapes on artwork papers.
  3. Colour drawings as suitable.


Artworks can be taken home or displayed in the centre.

Basic information

  • Two age groups: Years K–2 and Years 3–6
  • The children will be split into sessions of 60 minutes


Price

Please choose the most suitable option for your needs when submitting a booking request, taking into account the anticipated number of attending children. The minimum cost associated with the selected option will still apply, even in the event of lower attendance than expected. However, accommodating additional children beyond the maximum number of the chosen option is contingent upon availability.


  

  1. Up to 24 children - $450
  2. 25 to 48 children - $15 per child (Minimum cost: $600)
  3. 49 to 72 children - $15 per child (Minimum cost: $900)
  4. 73 to 96 children - $15 per child (Minimum cost: $1200)
  5. 97 to 120 children - $14 per child (Minimum cost: $1400)
  6. 121 to 150 children - $13.5 per child (Minimum cost: $1650)


Travel fees may apply (If applicable, we will inform you about the travel cost prior to your booking request being confirmed.) 


Requirements

  1. A large indoor space (Preferably a hall) with power available
  2. No food or drink permitted in workshops

Supercody - Cancellation Policy


Due to the limited spots available and limited time frame during which most of the booking requests occur, it is hard for us to cancel a booking after being confirmed. However, cancelling a booking is possible if:

  1. A cancellation request is received within five working days after submitting the booking request.

  2. The booking is impacted by by a force majeure (catastrophic and out-of-control major events that prevent the delivery of the service as planned – Please note that Change-of-mind, low number of children, program modification are not considered as force majeure).

  3. In all other cases, if agreed to be cancelled by Supercody; otherwise, if a cancellation request is not approved or not confirmed by Supercody, the booking maker becomes liable to pay the full booking fees and costs or the minimum service cost as per booking confirmation letter, even in the event where the service is not provided.

In any case:

  • Cancellation requests must be sent to Supercody in writing via email to admin@supercody.com.au . Cancellation requests over the phone are not considered unless made in the last 48 hours prior to the delivery due date of the service.

  • If you send your cancellation request more than 48 hours prior to the delivery due date of the service, you must receive a cancellation confirmation email in the next 48 hours of sending your request. If you don’t hear back from us within the specified time frame, please check your Spam and Junk folder and mark us as safe sender for future correspondence or call us on 0416401450 for confirmation.

  • Cancellation requests are usually confirmed with a full refund in case of any payment has already been made. However, any payment made for any cancelled booking due to the pandemic or a force majeure will be converted to credits which can be used at anytime in any future booking/s with no expiry date.

  • It is possible to transfer a confirmed booking to another centre/party any time before the service’s due date, if deemed possible and doable in Supercody’s sole judgement.
