Super Coding Puzzles
Get coding by solving digital and life-size puzzles using programmable robots!
The children initially solve digital coding puzzles using specific apps to learn new programming skills. After that, the digital puzzles are brought to life using giant mats with obstacles and real programmable robots. To solve the life-size puzzles, the children need to find answers and decode clues, plan routes and then code the robots to go to specific spots and destinations.
The puzzles vary based on the year level and involve shapes, patterns, vocabulary and letters, colours, maps, numbers, etc., and are designed to improve logical thinking skills.
Whilst progressing through the program, the puzzles get harder and the children are required to plan and solve logic challenges and command the robots with fewer options: eg. get to some destinations using a limited number of steps or using limited motion blocks.
Each session provides different challenges where the children need to team up and use their coding and various skills and knowledge to compete and win.
Topics covered: Motion, planning, sequencing, estimating, repetition, loops, automation and pattern recognition.
